Wanda (Ovitt) Wells was diagnosed with Non Small Cell Lung Cancer in July. She is currently receiving chemotherapy treatments at Mayo Clinic. All proceeds will go toward her current and future medical costs.

Prayers for Barb

My aunt, Barb, was involved in a serious car accident involving a semi truck on Friday, Sept. 25th.  She was airlifted to North Memorial Medical Center where she is in critical condition in the Trauma ICU.  She has a fractured skull, numerous facial shatters, broken ribs, shattered wrist to name a few.  She is in a medically induced coma, and is on a ventilator to help her breath.  Please keep her in your prayers if you happen to come across this post.  Also pray for the rest of her family, her husband Jerry, daughters Natasha (& Matt) Jessica (& Dale), foster daughters, LaRhonda & LaKeisha who were with Barb in the jeep when the accident occurred.  They have some bumps and bruises, but I hear are doing well. Barb is a very strong willed woman and I know that she will fight to recover from this.  The stretch of Hwy 10 where the accident occurred is where the family has adopted the highway in honor of my Grandpa, Barb's father.  He was definitely watching over her on Friday.  She also has a caringbridge website as well.  www.caringbridge.org/visit/barbsell.

Wanda is the mother of a dear friend of  mine.  She was recently diagnosed with cancer.  This quit was donated to help raise funds to help Wanda with her medical expenses.  When you donate to the Wanda Wells Benefit Fund, your name will be entered into a drawing for this queen size quilt.  The drawing will be held on December 1st, 2009.  One entry per person.  Click on the photo below to read more about how you can help Wanda.
